Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • To highlight the key points of mentorship and mentor
  • To identify the difference between coaching and mentoring
  • To explain the importance of mentoring
  • To distinguish the benefits of mentorship to mentor and mentee
  • To determine the different approach to be a good mentor
  • To discuss different methods of mentoring

Course Outline
There are THREE parts in the e-learning module:
(1) learners will learn what mentoring is and its importance, and approach and methods to mentoring;
(2) learners participate in TWO case studies and answer all questions in the discussion boards
(3) learners will attempt all quizzes in the course. 

Learning Methodology
The course is open for TWO weeks upon enrolment and learners in which learners must complete within this time frame. In this course, learners are required to complete the e-learning section.

  • Learners are required to participate and answer the case studies in the discussion boards.
  • Learners are required to attempt all the quizzes in the course.
  • All the activities above must be completed by learners in order to pass the course.
  • Learners can utilize the articles provided to enhance their understanding on mentoring and to answer case studies in the course.

Target Audience
Managers and individuals are in the role and duty to support, advice and guide their staff, colleagues and new hires in performing departmental tasks and processes.
