Great question, Theva.

Would one of our other participants like to comment on the relevant differences between online and face-to-face interviews? This will help us to compare how in-depth interviews can be conducted online versus face-to-face, and how and why one method might be better than the other.

difference of face to face and online

face to face Online
time consume may longer than online shorter time required
difficult to perform, depends on the target of interviewee if they would like to participate on spot slightly easy compare to face to face, as interviewer just need to press a button.
data management and consolidation may need longer time data management and consolidation can be done automatically
able to monitor the willingness and seriousness of the interviewee on answering the question, this may help to increase the accuracy to find out root cause  unable to monitor the willingness and seriousness of the interviewee on answering the question, this may reduce the accuracy to find out root cause

Above are some opinion from myself. And i believe there are pro and cons for both ways. And we must always need to consider on the cost budget, time constraint range of target interviewee that will participate before we make a desicion on which method we should apply.
