Trust is an essential element in character and how you are perceived by others. Trust between people enables strong and productive relationships. The character dimensions authenticity, integrity, and accountability are intertwined with your ability to build trust and foster trusting relationships.
In this course, we will explore how to develop these character dimensions along with trusting relationships, which enable one to become an effective leader. You will consider your current degrees of authenticity, integrity, and accountability, and take actions to develop them.
Leaders’ character strengths and weaknesses are on display for us every day. In this activity, you will research an event to which company leaders had to respond publicly. You will assess the strengths and weaknesses of leaders at multiple levels and of the corporation as a whole.
